A high-quality dotted notebook made from recycled paper with details from the "Some Rare Birds of Ireland" illustration printed on the front and back cover.

Take a closer look

This dotted notebook is made from post-consumer waste and recycled paper by our friends at Badly Made Books in Cork, Ireland. Recycled paper is great to write and draw on since the fibres have been thoroughly worked through the recycling process. This makes the pages thick enough that an inky pen won't leak through the other side. The dots are a shade of fluoro pink — they really pop off the page.

You'll find more information about the artwork on the back cover.

Some Rare Birds of Ireland

This print celebrates some of Ireland's rarest and most special birds and is designed to help you identify and learn what they're up to at different points in the year. From clown-like Puffins feeding young “Pufflings” in midsummer to speckled Starlings creating dramatic murmurations in midwinter, the year is full of fascinating comings and goings in the bird world.

Why follow these cycles?

Native Circles invites you to slow down and notice natural phases and seasonal changes around you. These cycles offer us perspective, opportunities to reflect, and a sense of grounding in nature. Think of them as a field guide to a simpler life more connected with the wonder of the natural world.

About Native Circles

Native Circles are a set of simple illustrations that create space for connecting with nature and self-reflection in our homes. The prints are mounted onto a birchwood wheel that you can place on a table or easily install on a wall. They can be turned by hand with the changing seasons.

I recommend choosing one of the specially designed wood stands to display your new wheel - this lets you interact with your wheel by turning it with the change of the season or cycle. Choose a small stand to hold one wheel or a large stand that can hold three wheels, allowing you to build a collection of your favourite cycles.
